Can I Say NO TO VACCINATIONS for my kids?

Sooo my newborn just got the Hepatitis B vaccine. I’m now reading on here that a lot of parents didn’t because it’s said to have some type of disease or something like HIV. I’m now thinking and worrying because my newborn baby got it on his first dr appointment. 
I have a question do Babies need to get vaccinated? Especially because their required to go every certain month to get a certain shot ? Does anyone here have their kids vaccinated? Or did you just wait til their older ? Or when they start school. ?

I honestly just cannot grasp why people do not vaccinate. Unless your child has a medical reason not to, it is so selfish and uneducated.

FYI, if you deny vaccinations that are considered necessary, your doctor may refuse to see you. You may be refused other services, like daycares, as well. You CAN say no, but you shouldn’t. Please don’t listen to anti-vaxxer rhetoric. It’s uneducated and unfounded. Protect your child and the immunocompromised people around your child by doing the right thing for everyone and vaccinating. Vaccinations absolutely do NOT spread HIV. Also, diseases that were almost eliminated like Measles (which has a terrible complication and death rate for children) are re-emerging. Your child would be at risk by even going to the store or the playground.

You can decline any and all medical services and recommendations for you or your baby. You have the power to decide when to vaccinate your child and for what. For example, we’re declining all vaccines until at least after the first year of life and we’re declining vaccines for things like Hep B because our baby isn’t going to be having sex or at risk for that, so there’s no need to vaccinate for it when they’re an infant.

My daughter received all vaccines according to the CDC schedule. She’s doing swell. Honestly, and I don’t mean to sound rude, but you don’t seem to understand the topic very well. To say something like “I heard it has some disease like HIV or something” doesn’t seem to me like you’re very educated at all. I would ask actual medical professionals about this and not read stories from randos on the internet.

You can but as many people have said a lot of doctors may refuse to treat a child. And since it is your choice and not religious or doctor recommended to skip them an exemption will be hard to come by so potentially prepare to home school. Also the hep B vaccine does not contain HIV...not sure where you read that but it is horribly inaccurate. Talk to doctors, pharmacists, homeopathic MDs to make your decision but know a lot of the anti vaxx stuff online is a lot of conjuncture, anecdotes and opinion than actual facts. Do as much research as you can but be very careful of online info as some moms on facebook screaming about how their kids were ruined due to vaccines or a "scientific based" article claims they cause autism don't mean it is actually true. Research VALID and CORRECT information and choose what's best for your family.

Yes you can say no. You can also delay them. You'll have a hard time finding a pediatrician who will take you. And you'll need to get some sort of exemption for school.

Yes, we declined our son getting the Hep B vaccine in the hospital just so we could do more research into it. Just be prepared for the hospital and doctors being judgmental about it. We got a lot of hostility from the hospital for declining and our discharge paperwork basically said we were anti vaxers, which wasn’t true at all. We decided to eventually get the vaccine but you can also ask your pediatrician for a list of all the vaccines they will be administering and research them and then deciding which ones you want (if you want them) or which ones you want.

My children get every vaccine that is available to them. I’m not having my child die of something that was totally preventable. You can so no but why would you? Vaccines work. It’s so simple but they can prevent horrible diseases. I wouldn’t take the chance. HIV and Hep B are not the same thing.
