Is he playing me?

Ok so this guy told me that he liked me and asked me out on New Years this year. He’s my type and everything but I didn’t know him very well so I said no. But I started to like him and he started to like someone else. So I told him that I liked him and he said that he liked me a little bit but he also started liking someone else.

So I took him saying he likes me a little bit that he didn’t like me and was trying to be nice. But I was talking with one of my guy friends and he said that usually means he likes u.

Anyway so we kinda stopped texting as much. But we started texting again recently and it was very flirty. So I asked him point blank if he liked me or not cuz he was being confusing. He said it’s supposed to be confusing and that I’ll never know. So I feel like I’m getting played a little what are your thoughts.
