No scan until 11 weeks

Has anyone had to wait until week 11 to get a scan of their baby? My doctor already confirmed pregnancy with a blood test at 4 weeks 1 day (didn’t do HCG levels though). I am 5 weeks 2 days and now I have to wait until 11 weeks 5 days to get another blood test and a ultrasound. Is that normal?!
