Potty training? Too early??

We are at the point where diaper changes are the hardest part of our day. He absolutely can not stand them. He knows when he poops if you ask him if he did he will grab his diaper if he did poop or if not he will say no. And when he comes in the bathroom he always asks me if I’m peeing. Has anyone tried potty training at 17 months?

Your baby ready.  My daughter is 3 years old she was fully trained at 19 months.  Now my 16 month baby starting to hate diapers so I will be starting real soon on training her.

I think it depends on the child. I don't think my 16 month old is even close to being potty trained but I think some toddlers the same age would probably do really well on the potty. Would it do any harm getting some pull up diapers and a potty to see how you get on?

I voted too early and all of the sudden she insists on pooping and peeing in the potty..  so I guess we're potty training now? Ugh. I was so not ready for this. We've had a couple accidents over the last 2 days but most of the time she goes on the potty 🤷‍♀️

My son absolutely hates having his diaper changed and he pulls on his diaper when he has peed or pooped and is fascinated with the bathroom, but I still planning on waiting a while. We might start over the summer.

I’m reading the oh crap! Potty training book right now and preparing myself to potty train but I’m still waiting a bit longer. My son knows when he’s peed or pooped and will grab at his diaper but I don’t think he’s quite ready and I’m definitely not lol I’m not looking forward to the inevitable accidents while training.
