Events in Boulder😓
I grew up in Littleton, CO and my mom an office receptionist at Columbine High School that horrible day. She mentally couldn't stay in Littleton and we moved to Aurora...we were having a family dinner about 1/4 away when the theater shooting happened so that triggered all the ptsd my mom had. I am now living in Boulder and have had 2 shooting events real close together. My parents are still in Aurora but needless to our family has had a weirdly intimate relationship with shootings. We are either the unluckiest or luckiest people ever depending on how you look at it...my dad broke a rib in church sneezing when he was 47 so maybe unlucky haha. But no matter the city or event or what happened to our community the response wad the same. A few press conferences, talks about mentally unstable shooters, and maybe a candle vigil but never change. At this point I still hope for change but have no expectations. We all know what will happen and it ends up being nothing. My family hunts and we have guns legally but I can honestly say fuck the NRA and every person who can't see that common sense gun regulations are not taking our guns but maybe can help save a few lives. The NRA actually came through Littleton after Columbine and tried to tout how we all needed more guns and how the nra would have protected those kids. So ya...fuck them. I hope every person who thinks covid id media propaganda (which some of it is) realize that the threat of democrats taking guns is just the same. Propaganda and scare tactics. No democrat had come in and taken our guns but yet that never happened. Your guns are safe...people may not be but our guns are. I hope nobody reading this loses a loved one or even has one go through a shooting. But here is a good idea of if you do what happens. Rant over will just rage in private now
