Joe Biden with Robert Byrd. A man who once lead a chapter in the kkk... I didn’t believe it at first until I did my own research. 😬

I’m no fan of his, but he repeatedly renounced his association with the KKK, and actively spoke out against them. He also warned young people against becoming involved. Toward the end of his career he had a 100% rating from the NAACP. 
Considering that he was a member of Congres for over 50 years it would be incredibly naive to believe he and Biden never worked together on anything.

I’d recommend doing more research before jumping to conclusions. As others have pointed out, this is old news and he’s an avid supporter of civil rights now. People can change from racist to not racist anymore. I have great respect for people who can change their entire belief system when faced with new information.

I can’t believe I’m posting twice, but I cannot stand misleading posts like this. Robert Byrd was an elected senator. A simple Google search and you can find pictures of him with just about every major political figure for the past...I don’t know 50 years?? A picture of Biden and Byrd does no mean Biden is a racist (which is what is being implied). If that was true, then what about these?

That last one is Barack Obama eulogizing Byrd at his funeral. So while not technically a picture with him...still on theme.

But...you didn’t do your own research or you would have seen Senator Byrd denounced the KKK and went on to fight for civil rights and was endorsed and supported by the NAACP. So. If you’re trying to slander Biden, you need to try again.

He’s a white man in politics. Most (if not all.) white men in politics have rubbed elbows with KKK members (even the younger generation of politicians.) I don’t even doubt that some are members. 
Why is this shocking? That’s really why I’m stating this again.

While I am not a huge fan of anyone who was involved with the KKK he seemed to have a change of mind and ended his life with a very good raging/relationship with the naacp and voted for several civil rights bills. Doesn't change what he did in his youth but I fully believe people can change. I know who have had similar changes so who knows. Regardless it is also an old story that was beat to death during the election cycles so I already knew about this photo.

Everyone saying they are ok with this, I would like the same energy if this said Trump. I can’t imagine y’all defending Trump like this! But with Biden everything is forgivable. Biden has said some crazy racist things in the past and no one seems to care. But any conservative president, their past is always brought up.
