Baby shower for second child?

Our son will be 3 by the time our babys born and I'm torn as to whether or not to have a second baby shower. I've heard mixed opinions on this. What do you ladies think?

Girl do what you want. Not others. I will have a shower for every baby I have 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re a big Mexican family and we celebrate every baby the same way. Food, dancing and drinks for others 😂

I’m definitely doing a baby shower for baby #2. I think it’s crazy how people think the second or third or even fourth baby doesn’t deserve a special day. If friends or family think they have any input on the whole situation, they’re crazy. Do what you feel like doing regardless of what anyone says.

We had planned to have a baby shower for my second. My kids are only 18m apart, but I didn't care about gifts, I just wanted to celebrate my baby. Covid happened, though, so it was cancelled.

I would. I’m only saving a select few outfits because I don’t PLAN on getting pregnant again. So I’ll be getting rid of pretty much everything else when he can’t use it anymore. I don’t have any room to store that stuff even if I wanted to keep it. Like none. So if in the future (2 years, 3 years, 6 years, who knows?) I decide that I want to get pregnant again, I won’t have anything for that baby. I’ll have another baby shower and if people don’t like it, they don’t need to come 🙂

If you having another boy you can do a sprinkle if you have mostly everything. If you having a girl go full stop.
It’s really up to you and those who will be buying gifts. I see no issues with a full shower.

I would just do a sprinkle! It’s a mini shower and you could request onesies, diapers, wipes, all the necessary stuff. I went to 3 sprinkles this past year and all were different, but great idea!

I didn’t, my kids are almost 3 years apart. My youngest is 8m & my oldest is 3.5y. We did a small gender reveal instead. That way we celebrated the baby but not the gift & registry part. 
If you’ve kept some stuff then it’ll likely work even if they’re different genders. Only thing we really bought new for the baby was bedroom furniture & a few baby toys like teethers & shakers since my oldest outgrew them a while ago we had gotten rid of them.
