Where should I go?

My roommate told me today (Wednesday) she invited a couple to come over this Friday evening to have wine and cheese with her and her boyfriend (who lives nearby). She asked if I could go somewhere and not be home then. Where can I go / what do I do? My coworker who I normally hangout with is babysitting then, and it’s a small town so not many places to go in the evening. Or should I tell my roommate I have nowhere to go Friday evening and instead stay in my room then?
