How Many Cups Of Coffee Do You Have a Day While Pregnant?

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with babygirl #2. I've only been drinking 1-2 cups of coffee a day, but somedays I feel like I NEED that 3rd cup. With our oldest girl I was fine with only 1 cup but pregnancy tired+chasing a toddler around all day tired is a whole new kind of tired! How many cups of coffee do you drink a day during pregnancy?

I would drink 2-3 cups a day before getting pregnant. I gave up all caffeine a few weeks before we conceived and I haven’t had any caffeine this entire pregnancy. I gave it up shortly before getting pregnant the first time too. It wasn’t hard the first time but giving it up this time was rough and I am counting the weeks intil baby boy is here so I can drink it again lol

Try getting some decaf coffee for a placebo effect.

1 - 10oz per the guidelines. If I want a second, I will have decaf. If I need a boost, I’ll go for a walk or run.

The recommendation is no more then 200mg (1 small- medium cup of coffee per/day)   I’ve switched to drinking either tea which has a lot less caffeine or decaf coffee and try to keep it to 1 maybe 2 cups a day.  I do occasionally allow myself to have a regular coffee but no more then once a week if that

I loved coffee before pregnancy and it grosses me out now, go figure.  The safe amount is thought to be 300mg a day so unless you're making crazy stuff 3 cups when you need it are not going to hurt the baby.

I only ever drink 1 cup normally. During pregnancy I want it and need it but it makes me sick! I will have a cup occasionally.

So I was never a huge coffee drinker but before I got pregnant I got in a routine and loved it! My whole 1st trimester the thought of it made me so sick and the smell of it brewing made me puke. Once in 2nd trimester I wanted it again every single day. I have about 2 decent sized cups a day. Sometimes less but the way my OB nurse explained it was that the caffeine dehydrates you so that's why they say limit your caffeine intake to about 200mg a day. She said stick to about 1-2 a day but if you have to have more or consume more then just be sure to drink lots of extra water that day! Hope this helps ☺️

I would drink dunkin donuts coffee cuz it helps me poop, but it literally makes me sick to drink it 😢
