Braces?

So I took my son to the dentist back in November for his 15 month appt and the dr told me to start saving for braces 😳
Apparently having gaps between their little teeth is normal and my sons teeth are all close together 🥲 idk why I was thinking about it now lol anyone else been told this? Does it affect them in any way?

Yes having no space between baby teeth usually indicates they will need braces because there isn’t much room for the big teeth to come in. They are usually 2/3 times bigger than baby teeth. This will make the big teeth crooked or not even be able to come in at all. But don’t worry about that yet. I’m a dental hygienist
