Woke up 1.30am bleeding and lost a massive blood clot, rang for an ambulance and was rushed to hospital. Got to hospital and baby was all good, but continued to bleed. Contractions started but was only 2cm, the same as day before when I got a stretch and sweep. Continued to monitor me and doctor said they would come and break my waters in an hour or so. At 3.55am my waters broke, and contractions were getting stronger. 5.30am they said they would examine me at 7. At 6.25 I said I felt like I wanted to push, the midwife examined me and I was 7cm. I started pushing at about 6.45 and Alaya was born at 6.57am weighing 9lb 2. Unfortunately my placenta was stuck and the midwife and doctor couldn’t remove. They decided to take me to theatre and give me general anaesthetic as blood pressure was too low and blood lose for a spinal block. Managed to remove in theatre. I lost 2 1/2 litres of blood in total so was very weak. My body has recovered well with just an iron infusion and close monitoring. My baby girl is a dream 🥰
