How can you tell??

Question

I’m seeing so many people posting pictures of their ultrasounds with a side profile of their little nuggets with a caption that says something like “is this a boy or girl?” And they’re getting a bunch of responses. My question is how can you tell from a side profile shot? It’s not showing any identifiable parts relating to girls or boys (that I can tell, but I’ll be honest, ultrasounds are hard to decipher—everything looks a little like an alien/peanut hybrid). Is there something I don’t know? Or are people just 100% guessing?

They’re just going based on skull theory when you see the profile pic . 
They’re going by the nub theory when you see the full body .
They’re going by Ramzi , in early pregnancy sonograms .
Or by experience and a guess lol

I only know how to tell one way. Bottom pick will have three lines if it’s a girl. None of the other methods have held true. I’ve only had one boy, when the methods said I’d have all boys. 😭

Their responses don’t have a scientific basis. They may end up right only by coincidence. But I agree that it is fun to guess until you actually know.
