Lump in armpit... normal or not?

I’ve had it happen years ago. This time it’s painful and it’s frustrating lol.. could this be where I am not well? It’s under the skin.

My dad had a lump under his arm pit for YEARS, eventually it got big enough to where it was bothering him, he went in and got diagnosed with cancer. Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I would get it checked out to be safe.

I had this a few months back. I stopped wearing deodorant and stopped shaving so frquently and it went away. Wore the same deodorant again and it happened so put it down to that. But my friend had one as well. Went to the Dr they weren't too worried about it and said if it doesn't go away in a week to 10 days they would run tests. They said likely to be an infected hair or lymph node and hers went away. Keep an eye on it.
