I had my first ultrasound when I was 5 weeks and I go back for another one at 9 weeks. Is it possible to not see twins but when you go back for another ultrasound it turns out to be twins?? Twins run in my family and I kinda want twins! I think it would be so cool. Just wanting to know if anyone had any stories on how they found out about their twins!😊🤞🏻

twins can usually be detected as early as six to seven weeks of the pregnancy.

I saw mine on ultrasound at 6 weeks. 5 weeks is pretty early to have a scan, but I know people who have seen twins then. I guess it’s possible that another baby could be seen at the next scan, but I just wouldn’t count on it. People often say twins skip a generation or two, as not everyone with a family with twins will have them. I’m the only person in my family to have had twins in about 80 years! Before that they were a lot more common in our family. Good luck with everything.

It's possible. I know someone who saw one baby I'm the first ultrasound, two in the second, then three in the third ultrasound.
