My daughter is 2 months but my BD sis is saying after 1 year that in order for my daughter hair to grow you have to shave it off . Is that a thing? I don’t want to shave her head bald but but the sis is saying she wants to and my bd always takes his sister side on everything

Hell no, i wouldnt shave my daughters head for anything! Dont listen to them and take care of your baby, she is your child not hers , and you should do whats best for her

Some cultures do that and believe it comes back thicker. I’m a hairdresser and would never do this. My daughter is almost 2 and her hair is pretty it’s almost past her shoulder a now and getting curly and I haven’t cut it at all yet. If she keeps pushing I wouldn’t leave the baby alone with them.

That's not true at all my dad tried this on me as a baby as I didnt really have hair did it help my hair grow thicker and quicker no I have thin hair that grows really slowly hell it grows that slow I was basically a bald 3 year old 🤣 leave it and just let it grow at its own pace
