How to clean a cast iron skillet brush???

Question

So you’re not supposed to use soap on the cast iron skillet to clean it, just hot water and brush.  So does that mean I can’t put the brush in the dishwasher??  How do I clean the brush!!

No soap in the cast-iron! Use salt and a brush. You can clean the brush with soap as long as you get all the soap out before using it on your cast iron again.

i use some steel wool and a tiny amount of soap, after i dry it as much as possible and re-season it

You're supposed to use hot water, salt and a brush/steel wool, but I use a small amount of soap. As long as you dry it completely immediately afterwards and there's no soap when you use it, it should be fine

I'm crying at all y'all saying you use soap 😱 a little or a lot makes no difference, cast iron is porous.
Idk what kind of brush you're using as I use a small plastic scraper, but as long as there's no soap left on it you can put it in the dishwasher
