Pack n play bassinet

Our 4 month old still sleeps in the pack n play bassinet next to our bed. Per the manual, they should only stay in the bassinet until they are 15 lbs. he hasn’t sat up yet or rolled over. He is almost 17lbs now and we still have him in there, thinking we will do so until it seems unsafe. Next step would be to removed the topper off the pack and play and put him to sleep in the bottom of it. Then he won’t be as close to me and more difficult to reach during the night. Anyone else in the same boat?
