Im not their type

Im a complete difference than my girlfriends type. shes into e-girls (i think i spelled that right) and im just not it LOL. shes starting to tell me how good i would look if i dyed my hair or “went one day being an e-girl with her” and she never compliments me when i get dressed up with what i feel confident in. she only compliments me when i dress more like her. she also only follows e-girls on tiktok and not girls that look anything close to me. what does this mean and how should i approach her that it hurts my feelings.
