Breastfeeding infection

Sorry if this is tmi, but has anyone gotten a breastfeeding infection after having their baby? My baby is 5 weeks old and yesterday I randomly came down with a fever, chills, shaking, dizziness, nausea, and my left boob felt horrible - super hard and painful to be touched. I go from being freezing and can’t stop shaking to burning up. I googled it and the symptoms seemed to match a breastfeeding infection, and read that I should keep pumping it until it’s empty and it might go away on it’s own, and it’s a bit softer but all the other symptoms are still here. It’s been maybe 18 hours. I have my 6 week appointment later this week - should I wait until my appointment or is it urgent that I go in sooner? Is there anyway to help with the symptoms? I’m really worried about losing my balance or passing out while taking care of the baby.

Update: I called the doctor and he gave me a prescription. Last night my fever got to the highest it’s been 104.9, but then started dropping to 102, and as of this afternoon it finally broke! I’m still not feeling great, but better. Thanks for all your help!
