Concern after appointment

I had my first prenatal today at 7w4d he told me to come back at 11 weeks for an ultrasound and is sending me for blood work.

He gave me a pap smear (pregnancy plus I was due for one anyways). Right as the end I felt little mini cramps then when both him and the nurse turned away I felt a gush. The nurse checked me and there was bright red blood to the point that I needed a pad.

The doctor said my cervix does look inflamed and is friable but could be normal he said it could also indicate an abnormalities or dysplasia however we will wait for the results. I asked him about STI or HPV to which he said all prior paps have been negativr

The nurse had this look on her face that something was wrong and im now scared. Scared something is wrong with the baby or myself.

Has this happened to anybody else?
