Anyone else read those articles and posts where women share the moment they knew they were dating “the one” and feel really shitty about their own relationship?

Firstly I believe all this “him being the one” is utter bullshit. He doesn’t have to feel like the one to be the one. There are people on here who overhype and overexaggerate shit when not everyone or everything feels like that. One piece of advice? Don’t listen to other people because most of the time what they’re saying only applies to them. That or they’re lying. You do you sis ❤️

I don’t believe in “the one”
I never read those articles 
But I would say that my partner is my person because of how different our relationship is from any we had in the past
 
I don’t think any relationship is as you read each is different you have to work at it and things will change you will have challenges to overcome so I never read something and think “ ooh that’s how it should be mines not like that”
Never compare yours to others but if you think there is flaws you need to address them and figure out how to improve on it

Don't let that discourage you. Everyone has their time and season. Let me explain. 
 My husband is the one and I know it. He is absolutely perfect. He is loving, caring, romantic, empathetic. He is an excellent father and is amazing to my family. He is a generous lover and has exceeded my expectations in every single way. Even after many many years we still have an incredible connection, look forward to seeing one another, talk and laugh with abandon. It's perfect. Hollywood couldn't have scripted a better man...or life for that matter.
That being said....before him, it was a joke. I was with pure garbage....and tried to convince myself so hard that they were all "the one".
The most recent a gaslighting narcissist that used to find different ways to tell me daily that I was trash, I was too fat, i was too ugly, no one would ever want me and I should be grateful that he even bothered with me. He was sexually abusive and an alcoholic and a compulsive gambler and just rediculous in every way.
I thought it was the best I could do. I believed him. I actually felt LUCKY to have him and not be alone. It was years of horrific event after event. My family and friends hated him and with good reason. 
I left when my husband crossed my path. It was hard and scary. There was alot of uncertainty. I never looked back and never regretted it. 
It wasn't my time when i was with the idiot. Or the one before him. Or the one before that. I never gave up hope that things could be better though.....and one random wednesday....it was.
Keep the faith and don't compromise yourself. Don't settle.  See your value, even if no one else does at the moment. Stay as positive as you can and your time and one, will come. I promise.

personally no. i have my partner. i know our relationship is kinda shit and i know we are putting in effort to make it better. i try to not compare myself with others. then i really would be unhappy all the time.
