Have this happened to anyone??

two night ago I started having contractions 5 minutes apart came in they observe me for 5 hours literally the contractions stayed close together but she couldn’t put 1 finger in so I was barley one cm. I’m back this morning the nurse said my contractions 2 minutes apart sometimes 3cm and I lost my mucus plug when I got here and she checked me she said I’m almost 2cm she can almost enter 2 fingers but she’s about to see what my doctor wants to do. Do you think I’ll be sent home? I literally can’t tKe this pain literally she said I’m 37 weeks 5 days so they can’t induced me. Have this happened to anyone is it anything I can do to help cervix open
