Would you date a friend

My first crush was from middle school and I was over it by the time high school came around. We were never friends and I just thought he was nice and cute

We ended up going to the same college and ran into each other at a party and became good friends our second year of college.

My third year of college, I got in a relationship (that lasted 3 years) it ended up being very toxic and I just got out of it.

I guess once my ex and I made it official, this guy friend said he totally blew it and that he’s been in love w me and he missed his chance. And we didn’t see each other often during the my relationship and he hasn’t been in anything serious in the 3 years was w my ex

I’m becoming better friends with my guy friend again and we went out last weekend w friends and one of his other girl friends was alll over him....and I felt jealous!

I think I’m crushing on him..and I’m not sure what to do! I’ve been broken up w my ex for 4 months, and I don’t want to ruin the friendship I have w my friend

But he swears him and the girl are just friends. Advice!?!?
