I have a 3 bedroom house but one bedroom is in the basement

Both of our upstairs bedrooms are pretty small mine and hubby’s bedroom don’t have a closet so even more of a pain,

For our second baby that’s due in October I’ve been thinking of getting a mini crib but I’ve been thinking of bassinet until baby can sit up and move around then getting the mini crib I’m not sure what to do I’m not comfortable with putting our 5 year old in the basement lol am I just being over protective or is it normal of a kid that young to have their room in the basement it’s finished just anxious
