I’m currently 37+6 weeks pregnant, no sign of labor, not dilated at all... this is my second baby... with my first Dr induced me at 41 weeks because I wasn’t dilated and I was very nervous so I asked him and he agreed. Ok cool. This time I’m trying to go all natural... but here is my problem... where I live that is Connecticut we do not have any family nor friends. My mom is the one who lives 8 hours far (Virginia ) my husband’s family lives in Texas... so is kinda sucks... I’m kinda nervous since I don’t have nobody who watch my 3yo while I’m in labor... I asked my mom if she can come and she said, I can go next Saturday ( I will be 39 by that time) but since I don’t know if I’m going to make it or maybe I won’t , I’m trying to induce my labor since she’ll be here and she can watch my 3yo... (IN CASE I DONT GO TO LABOR EARLY THAN THAT) I really want my husband with me, I do not want to be alone at the hospital... and I’m worry to leave my 3yo with somebody that I don’t know... (babysitter) I’m a home stay mom so that’ll affect him and ME too. That’s why I want my mom here.( she’ll be here for a week since she need go back to work) WELL... I’m trying to ask my midwife if she can induce me and tell her my reasons.. I know about Pitocin because my first pregnancy, pain was super awful and strong... but I also Just read about the membrane sweep... does that really help? Is going like natural birth? Witch one would you do it if you are in my shoes? Thank you
