I believe in herd immunity, protecting people around me, my family and loved ones but we have choices in the United States and I like it that way. We should be able to have choices. So no.

I don’t think it should be mandatory for anyone to get the vaccine regardless of profession or risk.

No. Just like flu shot isn’t mandatory - although some places may make staff take extra precautions if they don’t get it (pre-covid staff that didn’t get flu shots at my hospital had to wear masks all of flu season). 
That being said, I think the majority of healthcare workers probably do get it.

I've quit a job because they required the flu vaccine even though it was a fitness center but it was owned by the hospital. So it was either get fired or quit.

There will be a lot of healthcare workers leaving if they mandate it. So it’s in the best interest to not mandate unless you want to have no one to care for you or your loved ones. There is already a huge shortage in healthcare, mandate will make it even worse people will leave.

I guess, why wouldn’t they mandate it? There are other inoculations mandated for school children, and people in the medical field. This is no different.
