Should I stick around ?

My bf and I have been together almost a year . He’s 40 I’m almost half his age . Yesterday we got into a huge argument that led to him hitting me . It’s the second time the first time his reason was bc I hit him first . But this time it just came out of nowhere. In the middle of the fight he decides to tell me he has cancer . & then proceeds to say he has 2 years to live .. he then goes on to tell me he’s not telling anyone nor wants to take Chemo cus he’s tired . He’s tired of everything apparently which really hurt my feelings . Anyways . I don’t know what to do , I mean I want to be there for him but it’s also like . I’m a bit afraid about how these 2 years may go down ..

Let me tell you this. Once he starts laying a hand on you it's never going to stop. This is the second time it's happened and it will happen again for even less next time. You need to leave. He's also trying to manipulate you into staying by saying he has cancer and only two years to live. Pack your bags and leave. It won't get better and the only person at risk of dying is you

Honestly if you guys have already put hands on each other (its funny that so far everyone else has only mentioned him hitting you not you also hitting him) then you need to leave. You both are toxic for each other and it will most likely just escalate from there.

Leave! Dont waste your young years being with someone like this. 
He should never hit you and it sounds as though he may be lying about having cancer to get you to stay and so he can control you/get himself out of the trouble of the argument or hitting you. 
You need to ask yourself why would he tell you in an argument? Yet he doesnt want anyone else to know? And hes not having treatment? I may be wrong but od say hes lying.

Good chance he doesn’t even have cancer. Once you start getting physical it needs to be done.
