Period advice

So I’m going away on a trip this week to visit family members and I am due for my period.

I don’t wear tampons which sucks but I don’t and don’t want to be changing my pad constantly and then hearing me change my pad in the bathroom.

I also do not want to do the diva cup. I was thinking for the pads I could do the reusable ones, the kind that you wash, and possibly just wash them in the sink and then put them in a bag with me to reduce the smell.

I just don’t want to have an odor at all and I don’t want my family hearing me change my pad. My period is usually heavy and I do have large reusable pads that have worked before.

Thoughts? Advise?
