New charges for Derek Chauvin?

JayDee • BLM! I said what I said

So now that Chauvin’s trial has wrapped, his previous incidents involving excessive force are being looked into (18 incidents). One of the most harrowing involves him hitting a teen with his flashlight & kneeling on the teen for roughly 17 minutes while the mom pleaded for Chauvin not to kill her son. These were not allowed to be mentioned during his trial (even though Floyd’s past drug use was). So my question is: should Chauvin only be held accountable for these past events or should his higher ups who basically condoned his behavior? It’s easy for the Minneapolis PD to separate themselves now from the disgraced convicted murderer, but what about the ones in charge who knew about his problem with using excessive force & never took him off the streets? Who would u rather see held accountable if the typical “punish one to take the heat for all” is applicable here?
