what career path did you take? how was it?

Political economy degree and I ended up in real estate development then financial services in a technology/strategy function.

I have a degree in political economy and international relations. I worked at a wine importer, then a construction company and now I work for the my country’s bureau of statistics. Love it so much. I love spreadsheets though ;)

With my bachelor's I worked for nonprofits managing programs for government agencies. My first real job was doing outreach and marketing for a study abroad scholarship that focused on language learning and then helped the students find work in the government using those language skills. I was a political science/international studies major and right before I found this job I lived in Japan for a year teaching English. My hiring manager has also lived in Japan and I'm convinced that's why she hired me.

I work in communications, but in the policy space. I work for an advocacy organization in DC. I absolutely love it. We’re active on the hill and with the administration and working at that level is absolutely thrilling. I’m not actually on the policy team, but they’re all political science grads, though I think all of them have some sort of masters or are working towards a masters at this point.
