Acne, eczema or other?

My son just started having this sort of rash on his cheeks this week (he’s 5 weeks old). The only thing we’ve put on it at this point is breastmilk, but it’s so dry and looks very uncomfortable so I’d like to figure out what it is. Anyone have a similar experience?

EDIT: We have continued breastmilk 2-3 times per day and put petroleum jelly on once today, about 10 minutes after the breastmilk. The picture #2 is what it looks like 24 hours after picture #1. I’m hopeful it continues to get better. I did more reading and found Seborrheic Dermatitis as a possibility, which is what causes cradle cap, but can also be on the face. What I’ve read says it can go away by 6-12 months of age, but the underlying cause can be lifelong and result in flare ups or dandruff. I messaged his pediatrician to get his opinion.
