Didn’t get the news we were expecting
This is my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was essentially textbook perfect so this is a little nerve wrecking for me. At my anatomy scan(20w6d), little man’s right ureter was dilated. We had a follow up ultrasound today (26w5d) and it has actually gotten worse (so it’s even more dilated). However, this wasn’t even the worst news. Apparently, during the ultrasound, I had a contraction and didn’t even know about it. My cervix went from measuring 4.3cm down to 1.3cm (but back up to around 4cm again I believe?). Due to his ureter they were already planning on sending me to an MFM specialist, but now because of the contraction/short cervix, they are def sending me to the MFM “ASAP”. I’ve been put on “light duty” and vaginal progesterone as a precaution. Has anyone experienced either of these things? How’d it turn out for you?
