Could it be that time ?

37 weeks 2 days , and for the last 3 days I’ve been 5cm 50%effaced. Well sometime this afternoon around 5-6 pm my contractions started to come in about every 2-3 minutes so I decided to call my doctor and of course she told me to come in. Now I’m here at labor and delivery triage and my contractions are still close, coming strong and 2-3 minutes apart lasting about 40secs-1min. I was last checked around 6 pm and was only 5cm 50%effaced still and got rechecked around 8pm and I’m now only 5cm 75% effaced. So they are keeping me for another 2 hours to recheck me and see if I make any progress I’m hoping this could be the real deal but then again I’m hoping my baby is not playing tricks with me 🥺😔 what do you guys think? I have a high pain tolerance so right now I’m just feeling period like cramps even though they are so close.. but tell me your opinions and experiences please I would love to know 💜
