I took my ring off for a cleaning, why is my finger discolored?

My fiancée got me a ring from daniels, and I neverrrrr take it off until now for a cleaning, and my finger is discolored kinda like yellow, why?

Probably from build up of gunk under the ring. You should be taking your ring off regularly. Don’t wear it when you shower/bathe, wash your hands, do dishes, if you’re cooking or baking something with your hands (for example meatloaf, or bread), or when gardening. 
I worked as a jeweler and so much stuff gets gunked up under rings that ever taken off and that stuff is going to sit right against your skin and mess with it. I’ve had to wash rings that literally smelled like decaying flesh because of all the gross stuff gunked up in there. 
I know it might seem like wearing your ring in the shower or when washing your hands is no big deal, for example, but think of how much soap scum builds up in your shower, that’s all building up on and under your ring too.
