Should I get a root canal(again) if I’m not in pain?

I had a root canal on it years ago and I never put a crown on it (I know dumb) and I went to the dentist and they said I need to go to a specialist to see if it needs to be redone. Dentist thinks no, specialist said yes. Idk what to do 😭

If it was not done properly the first time, it should be pulled.

Well the dentist sent you to a specialist for a reason... because they’re a specialist... lol so I would get it redone. Better safe than sorry when you’re in agonizing pain later for not doing it

I was told to wait it out by my dentist on a front tooth specialist said it was dead but 2 years later I’m fine- a root canal weakens the tooth let alone having a second one

I wouldn’t unless necessary I’d trust the dentist if you’ve been going there for a while as they know your history I feel like the specialist always says you need a root canal
