Do you get a separate bill for babys hospital stay?

If you deliver your baby at hospital and add them to your insurance, do you get a bill for your stay AND there’s? meaning you have to pay both max out of pockets if you add them to your insurance?

Yep we get 2 bills but our insurance dienst make us pay for babies deductible until 14 days post birth so we pay the uncovered hospital portion but not the deductible. But yes I get a bill for my delivery fees, then a hospital stay fee, then baby hospital stay fees.

Yes. When I had my first, my deductible and max out of pocket was paid my entire pregnancy. As soon as baby was born and added, my insurance went from an individual plan to a family, so my deductible and max out of pocket doubled. I had a lot more bills than planned.
