remembering things from my childhood..

i was reading some posts today and it reminded me of a strange phase i went through when i was a kid (5 or 6). i remember i had barbies and other dolls and i would make up scenes with them that involved the barbies tying each other up and stripping their clothes off as "punishment" or touching each other's private areas as punishment. when the babysitter came over i would make her play these games with me (she was a young high schooler and probably had no idea how to react).

i also went through a phase before this at about 4 where i was fascinated by genitalia and would try to examine artwork/statues with naked people to see it more closely.

i was just wondering, is this normal..? i'm a teacher now and if any of my kids that age did things like that i would be very concerned. i had a wonderful childhood with absolutely no sexual abuse or inappropriate exposure to adult content. where would i have even gotten these ideas from??
