Should I call?

I’m 26 and applied to petco. It would be part time but I was looking for a way to try something new and gain new skills but this job wasn’t really needed. I was told by Monday I would hear back and it’s now Wednesday. Part of me knew I didn’t get the job when I left the interview but it pisses me off when someone can’t even call you. I did real estate for 2 years before and I had/still have a mentor and I was trained on how to go above and beyond when dealing with future clients or people. Communication was huge. I own several businesses and a warehouse with my hubby so I still use that training to this day and I really don’t want their behavior to slide. 
The hiring people were super young probably 19 and they just read right off a piece of paper and threw the word team around a bit and I got the vibe they had no idea what a real team was. They gave off a few people in a clique, show up for paycheck then leave, no real leadership. On my resume I had my business stuff on there and when I was talking about my team and above and beyond customer care, I could tell it went right over their heads and they couldn’t relate. Do I call to get an update even tho I know I didn’t get the job, just to make them uncomfy step out of the comfort zone or just let it go?

Do not call. If you would’ve gotten the job, they would’ve called you. Onto the next.

Let it go - you already know you most likely didn’t get the job, and if you did they would have let you know. Based off what you’ve said alone, it sounds like you wouldn’t have fit in well in their environment. As they were young, they may be new to hiring. At my last job I was a hiring manager, my first time ever doing so at 20. I learned quickly that wording matters, and would always say that “I would follow up if I had any further questions or if we decided to offer them the position”. Basically just to make it clear I would not be following up with rejected candidates. 
It also was awkward at times being young and interviewing older and more experienced candidates. I still remember one in particular. I was 20 or 21 at the time, but good at my job and my boss trusted me. The woman I was interviewing was in her mid to late 40s, and by her attitude alone it was clear she wasn’t thrilled about being interviewed by someone half her age , and she kept making comments about her experience but in a way to put me down (as it was obvious I couldn’t have 15 years in the industry at my age lol). I don’t remember her exact wording but essentially “id be stupid not to offer someone with her valued experience and skills the position”. And yeah, she was definitely qualified if not overqualified for the position, but it was her attitude that cost her the job.
