Does your husband reply to your texts?

My husband rarely answers my texts. He drives a truck doing deliveries for his job. So it pretty much consists of driving, picking up delivery item, going to customers houses etc. Yes, he is busy and I get that. I don't expect him to answer immediately. And I don't expect him to have long conversations with me while he's working. But when he stops for lunch or something it seems like he could at least try to answer. Even when I send sexy texts, I hear nothing from him. Then at the end of the day I ask him if he got the text and he says, oh yeah I didn't get a chance to reply. Or he days he didn't get it. It's starting to annoy the crap out of me. I sit home all day long with the kids and no adult interaction. The least he could do would be to occasionally send me a reply. Am I being crazy here or is it normal for husband's to not answer your texts?

My husband is a truck driver. If it’s something important I’ll call(he has a headset so he’s not having to touch his phone). If I text him he’ll get the notification and will reply when he stops. Sometimes he gets the notification but he’ll forget by the time he stops and doesn’t respond. I don’t think it’s that big of an issue, especially considering his job. I don’t think he’s purposely ignoring you.

My husband and I don’t text throughout the day, unless something comes up. We don’t just text to say “hi” or whatever, so it doesn’t totally apply. 
Sometimes I get a text or snap from someone and read it, but I can’t reply at that moment. Then I totally forget about it and don’t reply until later that night or something. Maybe that’s the case? He can’t reply at that moment and then it’s out of sight, out of mind. 
I’d say if he’s an attentive husband and father when he’s home or otherwise, this might be something you just have to work through and realize it just might not happen. Stop sending random text through the day, and you won’t be disappointed with no reply. Not everyone is into that, and he just obviously isn’t.

My husband drives for work as well and I won’t lie most days he’s so busy hoping in and out of his car he doesn’t have time to reply to me every single one of my messages. Especially since I’m a SAHM at the moment and I’m always telling him something cute our daughter did lol. 
When me and my husband first started dating exclusively we both had one rule we brought to the table. His rule was that we share locations just in case anything ever happened. Five years in, I have his location so when he drives anywhere I know exactly where he is so I know not to really bother or get mad at him if he’s not constantly replying. Maybe that could help. My fiancé has to drive a lot for work too but everytime he gets in his van he will call me and talk to me until he has to get out and go to another job, if your husband wanted too he could, he could call you before he is setting off and connect his phone to his speaker so he doesn’t have to hold his phone whilst driving etc, honestly he could if he wanted too.

My fiancé only texts back if he has something to tell me. I mean.. I’ll talk to him while he’s as work and text him stuff and reminders but unless he has information to share with me “I’m on my way home”￼ or when he gives me advice about our daughters. Other than that, he works his 12.5 hour shifts without saying a word to me.

My fiancé does when he can. But I understand he is very busy at work. So if it is a legitimate emergency, which pretty much never happens, then I’ll spam call & then he knows there’s an issue. He usually sends me a quick text on his lunch or if he actually has a chance to sit & eat for a few mins I might get a quick call. But there are days where I don’t hear from him til he gets home because they’re just so busy. 
If he’s driving he can’t really respond to texts..so that’s a little unfair.  While I agree he 100% could respond if he takes a quick break, how often does he get those? Delivery drivers are usually pretty busy!

There’s no excuse. Like you said he can reply while he’s at lunch or makes a pit stop. I know he drives but there’s speaker phone too so he can chat if he can’t text you back right away.

My husband work construction and directing traffic but he will always answer me weather it’s texts or call but I’m almost 24 weeks pregnant and I went into labour at 26 weeks with my now middle daughter so he’s always checking on me and making sure I’m drinking enough water and eating enough

I'm the one that doesn't respond every time. Unless I have something to actually say I don't answer. I dont see the point in just saying mmhm, yea, o yea?... if it requires a response then I absolutely answer but if your just chattering or shooting the shit with me, married or not, I only answer if I legitimately have a response for you.

My husband and I usually text all throughout the day, unless he's particularly busy. But if for some reason I text and he doesn't respond, I'll wait a little while and text again. He knows I get super anxious if I don't hear from him. I have bad anxiety and catastrophic-thinking, so he does whatever he can to ease my mind. I just truly feel like I got lucky with him.
