If I do NIPT and Gender test with Natera at 11weeksand4days. Can the gender be possibly wrong cause it’s still early?

My fetal percentage is 11.4% at 11 weeks and 4days. My OB says if you do it after 10weeks, it’s pretty accurate but I also hear many stories that not until your anatomy scan at 21weeks will be fully confirmed. 
Anybody has thoughts if Blood test at 11weeks is more accurate to find the gender or the 21weeks anatomy scan is more accurate?

NIPT is over 99% accurate. That’s more accurate than an ultrasound.
However, there is *always* a risk of falling into that 1%. That’s why my husband and I are waiting to announce the sex until after our 20 week to be sure that the NIPT and ultrasound match.

We got it done at 11weeks and it was right. It is based off the DNA so it is very accurate after 10weeks.

Being too early isn’t a worry for that sex test because it’s DNA based, unless it’s so early that there isn’t enough fetal DNA in your blood yet in which case they’ll indicate that on the results. It’s not like an ultrasound where their genitals aren’t developed yet so you can have the wrong interpretation.

nipt is more accurate than an ultrasound for gender purposes, sometimes some techs make mistakes, some babies parts may still be swollen or confusion between the umbilical cord and a penis

My fetal percentage was only 8% when I had mine done at 10w and it was accurate. The NIPT is incredibly accurate.

NIPT is always more accurate due to DNA. You don’t need that high of a percentage for it to be effective in determining the gender.
