I’ve been trying to get out there and make new mom friends in my area because I don’t know anyone here and I was invited to join a group of really awesome women that all have kids around my son’s age which is great but I find myself feeling a little left out or it’s been difficult to get to know them because they’re always doing play dates on a weekday in the middle of the day and I work full time so obviously I can’t. I feel bad I’m always declining park invites and stuff. It’s also hard because my husband is deployed so I’m totally on my own with a toddler and working full time at home while trying to entertain him lol I’m not trying to say I have it harder or anything like that but I’m wondering how to make these kinds of friendships work? I’ve suggested weekend activities but most of them like to spend their weekends with their spouses doing family stuff which I totally understand but that’s my only spare time :( it’s been a lot harder than i thought finding other working mommas.
