How long did your bleeding last for a miscarriage?

Okay I’m getting a little concerned. I have been bleeding for 6 weeks, almost 7 weeks now for this miscarriage and it feels like I should not be bleeding this much. For my other 3 miscarriages, the bleeding lasted only a week. But 7 weeks?? How much blood could possibly be in my uterus still? I’m getting worried that something is wrong. How long did the bleeding last for yours? I’ve literally gone through 2 boxes of tampon, 2 boxes of pads and I’m on my 3rd box of tampons now 😬. Not sure how much longer I can take this.

I just had an OB appt and the doctor said that it was normal, but at that time I had only been bleeding for 5ish weeks. I’m wondering if I should go back to the doctor or go to the ER? Because it’s not just light spotting, it’s bright red blood.
