When did your Milk arrive?

What day did your Milk arrive? My wife is struggling to come to terms that it’s not here yet - we are breastfeeding, Express Top Ups & Formula to ensure weight gain. Very taxing.. however it’s only Day 7. 💭👶🏼

The norm is between 3-5 days, some as early as 1,5-2 days other 7+ days. 
Was there a great weight loss? Is there an underlying medical problem that makes breastfeeding hard(tubular breast or insufficient glandular tissue), baby has ties? 
I guess she has seen a lactation consultant or IBCLC?

My first was like 7+ days and my boy was underweight, so it was very stressful. We got through it though. My second was like day 3ish and was much less difficult overall.

Day 5. If you’re getting milk not colostrum when expressing then milk is in. Has she seen IBCLC? Might be a way to keep out of the top up trap if that’s what you want to avoid.

Day three. There are lots of products to help with milk supply. My favorite is lactation cookies with brewers yeast, oats, and flax seed. Drinking lots of water and nursing/ pumping often helps too.
