Naming baby same as a friends child, has anyone done this?

Hi all!

I am deeply considering Jackson as my baby’s name. My husbands name is John and Jackson means son of John, or Jack.

I have a friend/acquaintance more so to say, we are only acquainted through social media but went to high school together. We are maybe four years apart in age. Her first sons name is Jackson too.

It’s hella awkward because she is actively liking my things and now friending me on fb. I would feel bad if she’d think I’m stealing her kids name but in reality the husband thought of this name! Since I’m choosing middle name, Sanford, after my favorite uncle, I told him he can have more say in the first name and I think we are very set on this.

Should I be hesitant or not? Has anyone else had this “issue”? Would spelling it differently such as “Jaxon” or Jaxson be better? I think I like traditional more but can’t decide.
