How do I know I'm producing enough breast milk ?

So my son is 15 days old today and I'm breastfeeding but sometimes I question if he is getting enough I nurse every 2-3 hours. There are times my boobs are soft when it's time for the next feeding THEN there are times when they are full . 
Is it normal for your breast to feel soft and not full ? Am I still producing enough? I ONLY NURSE HIM .. NO FORMULA..
Anyone else go through this ?

Normal. Just latch your baby every time they make hunger cues. Your body will make as much supply as there is demand.

I’ve breastfed two kids and my boobs feel soft all the time. Once your supply regulates it’s normal. 
Another little tip: watch their hands. When babe starts eating the hands will be tight little fists, and when babe is full their hands will be limp, loose, and relaxed 😌 hope this helps!

Doesn’t matter if breast feels full or not. If baby is satisfied and has plenty of wet diapers and gaining weight then they’re fine.

To make sure baby is getting enough, track diaper output. They should be having around 6wet/1dirty minimum per day at that point, and their overall demeanour should be alert and calm during their wake period. When they’re feeding, listen for the soft “kuh kuh” sounds which are swallowing, and the differences between their passive (shorter, quicker sucks to bring the milk in) and active (longer, deeper sucks that should be accompanied by the swallowing sounds) sucking patterns. During their active sucking, that is usually when you’re having a letdown and can happen anywhere from 1-4+ times during a nursing session.
How your breasts feel means absolutely nothing.

Completely normal if your breasts feel soft at times. Feeling full all the time is not normal after 12 weeks post-partum as it could lead to engorgement issues. Feeling your breasts full means there is milk removal inefficiency and could lead to mastitis. A lot of us think that if our breasts are full we have enough milk, but having soft breasts after 12 weeks post-partum is normal and ideal as it means our milk supply has regulated/established to our babies needs.
All of that fullness could be foremilk (watery and high in sugar) and we want our babies to get to that nice fatty, calorie dense milk called the hinkmilk. Foremilk is GREAT! But we also want the hindmilk 😊

How your breasts feel does not indicate supply or “enough milk.”

your boobs don’t store milk like we think they do. the milk starts being made once baby latched on. that’s normal for them to not feel hard and full all the time
