Breastfeeding?? Yay or Nah?

How do you guys feel about breastfeeding? I’ll be a first time mommy in December and I’m totally nervous about it. Does it really change the way your breasts look?

I don’t care about how my breasts will look, that doesn’t bother me at all. The reason I even have them is to feed my baby, so that’s what I’m gonna do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Whatever you’re decide to do, baby will be fed and healthy.
I wouldn’t let your fear of what your breasts will look like be the only reason you don’t try, but you do you!
I tried for 2 days and baby couldn’t latch and it hurt so bad I would cry and have panic attacks when it was time for feeding. So I pumped for 4 months and that was so much work and took a toll on my mental health so at 4 months we switched to formula and I was like a different person! So much happier and getting a full night sleep!

Yes & no. I have like a love/hate relationship with breastfeeding. I like it because I found it easier once I was established than formula feeding. No prep. No spending over $100 a week on formula (my oldest had to have hypoallergenic formula... so expensive). Less to clean. The only time I’ve found it “difficult” is when he wasn’t eating solids yet & refused bottles. I felt restricted in the sense I couldn’t be away from him for long periods of time. But I’m in Ontario... we’re still locked the fuck down because of covid because our government shit the bed lol. So it’s not like I needed to go too far. But to answer about the boobs looking different, mine are bigger, but that’s about it. I had big boobs before, now theyre just bigger lol.

Pregnancy is what will change your breasts unfortunately. I didn’t like breastfeeding at first but now I love the fact that I don’t have to constantly wash and sanitize bottles lol

I enjoyed breastfeeding way more than I thought I would. I ended up nursing for 2 years. 
Pregnancy will most likely change your breasts regardless of nursing. 
I personally had some shape change post-weaning but nothing too dramatic and my nipples still point straight out. Where my volume/density in my breasts has changed. Mostly just needed to find new bras for my new shape. Mine did get bigger but some people get smaller!

I enjoyed breastfeeding. I did it with my first two and plan to do it with my next one. Pregnancy changes your breasts, so no matter if you breastfeed or not, they aren’t going to be the same. So I wouldn’t base your decision off of that.

Breastfeeding is an indescribable bond between mom and baby… NOTHING beats the feeling of bf your baby and how they look at you and how much they need you. You are their home and it makes me tear up just thinking about it.

I think how your breasts look is the least of your problems! Breastfeeding or not, your breasts will change during and after pregnancy.
I chose to breastfeed. We were lucky that I was very educated about it, and my daughter latched perfectly from the beginning. I thought it was easier, nothing to sterilise or bottles to make late at night,  no worrying about how many bottles and how much formula to pack when we went out because all I needed was my breasts. I felt like I got more sleep, I would wake up and baby would feed for 20 mins, usually fall back to sleep within the first 5 mins and then I would carefully place her back into the bassinet and we were straight back to sleep - no need for bottle warming or mixing formula or turning any lights on lol. Its great for the baby, my daughter is almost 2 and has never been ill, not even a cold or cough, it also reduces the mothers likelihood of certain diseases and cancers, even after breastfeeding is done with. Also my breasts didn't change at all, other than that they got larger during pregnancy and when my milk first started coming through.
However, I was also lucky enough to have 10 months maternity leave, and when I did go back to work and my daughter wouldn't take to bottles, I could breastfeed her once a day on my lunch break (I did this until she was 12 months). I feel like its incredibly difficult to breastfeed in America, due to their lack of proper maternity leave and most end up pumping, losing supply, supplementing, and ending up in a vicious cycle until they fully switch to formula. I think its definitely a more difficult task depending on where you live, but I highly recommend at least breastfeeding through your maternity leave if you can 😊

It’s hard in the beginning, but overall it was something that I really enjoyed. I ended up nursing for 18 months, at which point my son self-weaned. I never thought I’d make it that long! 
I liked the bonding experience with my son. I liked not having to worry about the expense of formula, or running out or having to worry about taking formula and bottles with us everywhere we went. It was a bit of a struggle to pump once I returned to work, but we figured it out. I’m due in a few weeks with our daughter, and am no longer working. I’m really looking forward to just nursing on demand and not having to worry about pumping so much.

I breastfed both my sons for around a year an half. To me it just felt easier, but I'm not going to say it's easier for everyone. The first week can be uncomfortable as you figure out how to get baby to properly latch but once you figure it out it's not so bad. At least that's been my experience. I actually tried giving my oldest formula when he was like 6 months or so to see if he'd even take it and he literally gagged as soon as he tasted it. And they both had a preference of my right breast for some reason so I'm a little uneven but nothing major unless I point it out. Even after 2 children and another on the way I don't think my breasts have changed all that much from before pregnancy. They definitely got bigger and stayed bigger though
