What job do you do?

Question

I have been off work since I had my little one. Before I had mostly done jobs I didn't really like. So now I'd like to take some time and reflect on what I could do when I go back. I think it's the worst when everyday you have to go to a job you don't like. How did you find out you wanted to do the job you do?

I am super organized and love doing office stuff so when I got offered a position of Office Manager for a construction company, I was thrilled. I work with mostly men but they’ve been super supportive of the pregnancy. It makes such a difference to work somewhere you love.

I’ve known I wanted to be a teacher since junior year of high school. So that’s what I do. I teach kindergarten.

I work in an Aged Care Home!
I love that my job is rewarding and has purpose (obviously every job does but with mine I get to see my hard work directly pay off). Whilst doing my job, I spend my day socialising with older individuals, as well as coworkers, and it's been great for my confidence. 
There's fun times, and sad times. Each day is the same but different. And to know that I am able to create a positive last day, week, or year for an older person makes it all worth it.

I’m a statistical analyst. I love it. Mainly because I love spreadsheets.

I work at a print shop, its definitely not my forever job but I love it and work minimal hours which will be nice when baby comes.
But I've worked in a lot of fields and want to go back to school for cosmetology eventually.

I’m an accountant I work for a cpa firm. It’s ok, my specific job requires a degree, but not all accounting jobs do.

I didn't go to college after high school because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I've been in retail banking for many years and I don't mind it. I am in college now working on my bachelor's degree. I want to work in HR

I'm an Educational Psychologist. I came across the career while doing my psychology degree and I already knew I wanted to work in education. It's my perfect job because I love psychology and working with kids and I'm passionate about education.
