Bring baby to the wedding?

Question

I'm a bridesmaid in one of my best friend's wedding next weekend and I'm undecided on whether or not I should bring my almost 2 month old with to the wedding or not. My little guy is breastfed so it would be easier to just be able to nurse him when need be versus having to pump and I also know it would be easier for my parents if I bring him to the wedding because even though they're okay with watching all of my kids my 2 toddlers can be a handful. On the other hand it would be nice to have a kid free night with my husband. I'm just torn on this decision.
Wanted to add I have already talked to the bride and she said it's totally fine if I decide to bring the baby.

Ask the bride.  I wouldn’t leave my breastfed 2 month old for a wedding though if I had the option to take him.  I know my sister was bridesmaid in a wedding and her son was about 8 weeks old.   They welcomed the baby along with open arms!

I am in the same predicament, but my baby will be a few months older. I plan to not take her because I will be so busy being in the party it will be difficult to manage her as well. I have a hands free pump to use since obviously that will have to happen regardless. It's also nice to get a kid free day, and not have them exposed to a ton of people right now.

My child goes EVERYWHERE I go unless we cant take him. If someone thought they had to "invite" my 8 month old to something of theirs before im allowed to bring him id rather not go because my child and me are ONE.

My vote is to not take baby and enjoy the evening. Sure it would be easier to breastfeed, but don’t you want a small break? Even if it’s just a 3 hour break and have someone bring them to you later? Or something? Tons of options.

I feel like being part of the wedding party you’re going to be really busy with that and having your newborn there may add to the stress. I know my wedding was go go go from the time we got up until everything ended.

My sister’s son was 6 months old when I got married and my BIL’s sons were 5 months. My sister was breastfeeding, so she hired a babysitter, he stayed in a separate room at the venue, and she went upstairs as needed. My BIL’s sister in law watched the twins at the hotel, as they were formula fed, and they left the reception early. I would talk to the bride as it is her day and she may or may not be cool with whatever. And if you’re not comfortable leaving your kid entirely or seeing if the baby can be there with a sitter on site, then it’s totally reasonable to sit out the wedding. I think my sister and BIL and SIL were happy to have the break and be able to enjoy themselves and be fully a part of the wedding, as it can be so busy and time consuming.

If you decide to bring the baby then find someone to watch the baby somewhere else during the wedding. I had a baby cry during my ceremony🙄

Honestly I've been a bride and a bridemaid for couple of weddings, there's absolutely no time to cater to both.
Your better off going to the wedding, spending time with your friend at her wedding, and leaving baby with parents (supplied with breastmilk). You can always leave the wedding early if need be or have your parents bring the baby nearby if you wanted to feed them (e.g. in the car or restaurant nearby). Of course that may not be an option. If you really want to bring the baby, then you have to consider who will mind the baby during the times you need to attend to the bride, be in photos etc.
