You should hire a doula. They're trained to stand up for whatever wishes you have in a birth plan, and speak for you in the moment when you're not really able to speak for yourself.

Yes and yes.  If they keep your water intact, and the induction “fails” then it doesn’t become a C-section instead and you can ask to try again later.  Keeping the water intact really helps cushion the contractions and prevent baby from getting really distressed with a long induced labor.  As for the checks, it’s definitely good to talk to your OB ahead of time and discuss what the appropriate amount of checking is.  I was checked HOURLY with my induction and that was super ridiculous.

Yes your water can break on its own and you can deny all cervical checks if thats what you really want. Most good doctors will limit them anyway because they increase the risk of infection and they increase the risk of waters being accidentally broken

My water broke at home, and I waited two days before being induced. I was never checked until I said I needed to start pushing, a whole day after being induced. No fetal distress, and no infection.
