Diagnosed with BV 😞

So I’m just really trying to figure out how this could have happened. I haven’t had sex in about 7 months. I’ve been STD tested after the last time I had sex literally 2 times just to be sure. I stopped taking (xulane bc) last year. It cause my period to stop. GYN prescribed me medroxyprogesterone to induce my period and my period came. I got my period the next 2 months like back to normal & then it stopped again. It’s now over 2 months without my period & I had my yearly visit about 2 weeks ago. Today they called me to let me know that I have BV and I’m just trying to figure out what the fuck could have happened. I’m on google and everything is saying that once you get BV your likely to get it again. I have no smell, or weird discharge or itching or anything like I’m literally fine down there so what the hell is wrong. Why am I having problems. I wash everyday, change my clothes and underwear, I don’t wear tight pants often, I wear more sweats than anything. I don’t have sex toys I’m using. I don’t finger myself. Like I don’t even understand why these things are happening??? Can somebody please give me an idea on how this could have happened. Note: last year I had a colposcopy done that showed abnormal cells but was told they could not match it with anything.
